Mexican Event in Japan!

Casa Yasumin participated in The Fiesta Mexicana, which is a Mexican Event in Tokyo. A typhoon passed through Tokyo the day before, so Saturday was sunny but Sunday was unfortunately rainy day. But a vast amount of people came to the event to seek information about Mexico.

We introduced a timeshare, traveling and Long stay in Mexico at our booth. And we sold the Rosarito Taco kit. Because it’s difficult to obtain taco shells and taco mix in the supermarkets in Japan. Taco kits were sold out pretty quickly. Many people who are interested in traveling to Mexico stopped by our booth and they were very interested in visiting Rosarito once we introduced Rosarito. We were not aware of the fact that Rosarito was a not too familiar place to Japanese and that the term timeshare was not at all familiar to Japanese. We have to think about how to announce Las Flores and Rosarito beach. By the way Casa Yasumin keeps sending information about Rosarito to Japan and pretty soon all Japanese will know about the city of Rosarito Beach.

Rosarito Beach and the City of Ito

The culture and economical exchange started between the city of Rosarito and the City of Ito in Shizuoka, Japan. Rosarito idea was that if they had a sister’s city in Japan they would seem more appealing for Japanese tourists. The City of Ito has some similarities with Rosarito. One similarity is that both cities are beach cities. Second, they are tourist city. Third, the city of Ito has a great historical relationship with Mexico. In 1980’s Rodrigo de Vivero y Velasco returned to Mexico from a port in Ito were he has gladly helped by the Japanese. Rodrigo de Vivero y Velasco is a Spanish colonial officer from Mexico,his trip from Japon to Acapulcoco was the first contact created between Japan and Mexico and next year is going to be the 400 year aniversary.

This time Casa Yasumin handed the letter from the city of Rosarito to the mayor of the city of Ito as a representative of civilian company. We were highly counseled about starting casual and economical exchange between Rosarito and Ito, by Mr.Sekiguchi f Amigo-Kai. He set up the meeting with the Mexican ambassador of Japan and introduced Mr. Awaya to us. Mr.Awaya lives in the city of Ito and he present in the meeting with the mayor of Ito. In addition he showed Yasumin around the city of Ito and introduced her an organization of tourism to Ito. She was able to exchange her opinions with top officers of tourism in Ito city and they confirm that they will cooperate in establishing a good relationship between Rosarito and Ito.

Interview with the mexican Ambassador of Japan

Yasumin met with the Mexican Ambassador of Japan, Miguel Ruiz-Cabañas. The meetings main point was to present the letter from Rosarito’s Mayor to the Ambassador. Recently the Mexican Embassy main focus is to invite the Japanese tourists to Mexico. Mexico is a large country. Each city has its own fascinating spots and Rosarito beach in Baja California has the absolute attractions that would attract Japanese. Unfortunately Many Japanese tourists don’t know of this amazing place. The Mexican embassy in Japan is going to introduce Baja California to the Japanese, offering them the long stay program, due to the large popularity this program has. That is great news for our concept of Las Flores. Mexico is one of the few countries that issues a retirement visa and which, process is easier than in many other countries that issue retirement visas like Thai and Malaysia. If we introduce this information to Japanese more retirees will become attracted. We are looking forward to the coming of the Mexican boom, not right now but in the near future.

Rosarito and city of Ito in Japan Friendly cities

Now Rosarito Beach is considering the start of cultural and economical exchanges with the cityof Ito in Japan. First, a treaty will be incorporated and in the near future liaisons will grow to make the cities sister cities. Casa Yasumin is going to work as the go-between Rosarito beach and the city of Ito in Japan, as one of private companies from Rosarito. The Mayor of Rosarito Mr. Torres, who invited SHARP before, is very educated and comprehends vastly the Japanese culture and Japanese business. Before Yasumin’s departure to Japan, Mr. Torres gave her two letters; one for the Mexican ambassador of Japan and the other on for the mayor of the city of Ito in Japan.

More Mexican tourists than we had ever imagined visit Japan every year. The number of visitor in Japan from Mexico is more than the number of visitor from Japan to Mexico. The Increasing amount of visitors to Japan is very good for the Japanese. Sushi Bars, Japanese comic books and animation programs become the opportunities and many Mexicans feel that Japan is closer.

And Casa Yasumin spares no efforts to help Rosarito Beach to be mentioned on the Japanese tourism booklets about Mexico who mostly emphasize Cancun and Los Cabos.

Rosarito beach Hotel Grand Opening

This past weekend the project of the Rosarito beach hotel was finished.
The History of this hotel is very similar to the of the city since this hotel was built in 1920 and it has been growing as the city has been developing. The project was not only to finish the hotel but to create residential condominiums and after much hard work this was finally accomplished. The Owner of this magnificent place is the mayor of the city of Rosarito Mr. Hugo Torres.Many citizens, developers and business people were present for this grand event.

In this party the main food platter were the sushi rolls. Now a food widely known in Mexico due to the many developers that are moving to that area.

But thats not all we cant forget about those amazing Flamenco danzer who entertained the crowd.

FIESTA MEXICANA 2008 IN TOKYO

Fiesta Mexicana is an event that takes place every year in Tokyo.
This year it will take place on September 20 and 21.

In this party many different aspects of Mexico are presented like; their food, music, dance and art.People from all over the world get the experience real Mexico by listening to Mexican Mariachis and eating the most delicious Mexican foods.

Included in the events there are shows by folkloric dancers as well as Mariachis. Don't hesitate join in the fun!

For the kids there would also be many things to do like playing typical mexican games, pinatas, quick spanish lessons and riddles about Mexico.

The Ito family not only captured the mexican essence but it integrated the mexican touch with the Japanese culture. In Japan a bathtub facing the ocean is very popular specially with a beautiful sunset in the background.This brings a feeling of peace and tranquility. In their picture the Ito family also integrated the wine to the scene, which represents the delicious Mexican wine from the most famous wineries of Baja California. Peace, tranquility and fun are all represented in this picture which is what you would find in LAS FLORES in Rosarito!

Mexican Wine in Japan

The past November 30th. Financial One Inc.'s General Manager, Yasumin Saito, gave a seminar in Japan with the goal of introducing Mexican wine to the Japanese community. In Japan the wine consumption has greatly incread nd their main wine importer is France. Here in Financial One Inc. and Casa Yasumin, we appreciate the good quality of the Mexican wine. Therefore we are trying to introduce this delicious product to the Japanese market.

The Seminar took place in Ginza Tokyo, on November 30th 2007. The seminar had a Mexican theme and promoted our condo development, Las Flores, along with the exquisite Santo Tomas Wine. This wine is made in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico. and is very popular and easy to find in Mexico. On Sep. 22 the land breaking ceremony of Las Flores took place. This was the first Buddhism land breaking ceremony ever celebrated in Rosarito and It is the first project by a Japanese, female developer. Many Japanese companies came to Mexico for the purpose of cheep labor, but they have not being concerned with real estate development or tourism development. In a party tent, which was build in the construction site of “Las Flores”, the mayor of Rosarito Mr.Tores, participants in real estate and many guests from Mexico and USA celebrated the land breaking ceremony of “Las Flores”. There was Sake, wine, Sushi, Californian food, and Mexican food, which were mix of food cultures. Mexican nature is beautiful especially Baja’s, and climate is like Mediterranean. Mexico has tasty food and it is good for sight seeing, and retirement. Already many American live in Rosarito beach and town was being remodeled for Americans to live conveniently. Business also came into Rosarito beach targeting these people. For instance, Home Depot, Office Depot, Mc Donald, am pm and so on. There is a no such thing as a useless investment. Investors can enjoy golfing, fishing, surfing, eating, drinking, spa, and shopping by themselves. There are direct flights from Japan to Mexico.

On Saturday September 22 started the promotion and pre-sale of the real estate development "Las Flores", the first Japanese investment of this type in Rosarito Beach, that besides will be performed by a woman. Hugo Torres Chabert, city Major, was invited as a special guess in the project’s presentation.
After carrying out a Japanese style ceremony for the good fortune, the major Hugo Torres Chabert, congratulated the owner, Yasumin Saito for her initiative and the excellent investment, that would be able to attract al oriental market to Rosarito and reiterated that as the major, he will be giving all his support so that more people invest in the municipality as well as to make it more attractive and secure for the visitors.

"We welcome the first woman developer in Rosarito. I congratulate her for her initiative, imagination and creativity, this type of investments are of sum importance for the municipality", expressed Mr. Hugo Torres.

The real estate development contemplates the construction of 20 condominiums decorated traditional Mexican style, taking as inspiration the colonial design of Guanajuato, explained the owner of the development Yasumin Saito, who will participate actively in the decoration of the spaces.

The construction of the condominiums represents a challenge for the architect Ernesto Alonso Dark, by the characteristics of the land, which is a slope with an excellent view to the bay El Descanso.

According to what commented the developer, this is a project that started four years ago when she bought the land to build her house and then she thought this was an ideal space to place condominiums, because of the privacy of the area and its amazing ocean view.

Now the executive project is already taking place and has completed all the necessary procedures to seek the construction permission and to initiate the construction of the building within two or three months approximately.

Land Breaking Ceremony

Casa Yasumin Starts with the right foot its condominium project "Las Flores." The last Saturday September 22, Casa Yasumin had its land breaking ceremony for its very first condominium project in Rosarito Beach.

In the event were important characters like the Rosarito Beach Major, Mr. Hugo Torres, who congratulated Mrs. Yasumin Saito for being the first women in the area that realizes a condominium project like this one. Also there were many Real Estate representatives including a huge representation from ReMax such as Mr. Gustavo Torres, whom also gave a small speech about the good inversion this condo project was and predicted the great success to Casa Yasumin.

There was also a religious ceremony were a Buddhist monk blessed the construction site to assure success and good fortune to the condominiums "Las Flores"

During the event there was red and white wine along with sake and mexican and Japanese treats.

The arquitect Ernesto Alonso Moreno Luna, who is incharge of the "Las Flores" construction is very satisfied with his work and assures that "Las Flores" would be one of th most beautifull condominums places in the Rosarito Beach area. Here he shows us the blue prints.

Yasumin: Good morning every one, this will be our final question to Mr. Torres. Mr. Torres is running for Mayor of Rosarito Beach, so our question for him is, when he is elected, how does he intend to improve the city?

Mr. Torres: I will improve all public services, such as the police department, the fire department, cleaning services, and so on, for all residents including Japanese, and American. I want to provide safe and sound services. Currently, many retirees are living in Rosarito Beach, and we expect many more people to come. We would like to create opportunities for residents to let their voices be heard, and work to improve the city.

Yasumin: Our next question for Mr. Torres is, what he thinks of the future of Rosarito Beach?

Mr. Torres: The future of Rosarito Beach is very promising. Land development is very active. Currently, many condominiums are under construction, and many more are planned. As I’ve repeated many times before, the prices are very cheap. Compared with properties in the U.S., the price is 1/2 to 1/4 the price. It is very cheap. It is said that prices will rise to go up to half of U.S. Prices. In the near future, since we can expect appreciation, we have a strong positive picture of Rosarito Beach as an Investment and retirement site. Real state tax is, as I have mentioned before, ridiculously cheap as well.

Yasumin: This is another reason why Rosarito Beach is very attractive for investors and retires. Thank you and see you later.

Mr. Torres: "What attracts people is Rosarito Beach’s resemblance to Laguna Beach, and La Jolla of California in the United States. There are many good Hotels, Including The Rosarito Beach Hotel. Also there is access to galleries, shopping areas, and the town of Port Nuevo, where you can enjoy delicious lobster. The biggest pint of attraction is the low cost of everything. Many things, including houses, can be found at 1/4, 1/3, or even 1/2 lower of their price in the United States. As investment, or a place for retirement, real estate prices are very affordable and we can expect appreciation.
